![]() Barry Seidman grew up in New York's fast-paced advertising business establishing him as one of the top advertising print media photographers in the country. He specialized in still-life photography and worked for the top major brands in the world, eventually expanding his work to include celebrity photography and television commercials. Recognition for his work includes every possible industry award including Clios, Tellys, Addys and the Art Directors Club. His client list is a who's who in international brands including: Smirnoff, Cruzan, Chivas, Panasonic, Nikon, Toshiba, Samsung Minolta, Citibank, American Express, Visa, Merrill Lynch, Mastercard, KFC, Burger King, Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, Coca Cola, Campbell Soups, Proctor and Gamble, Nabisco and AT &T. Seidman then started to devote his time to fine art photography, using his vast techniques and knowledge of lighting as a foundation. This led to various solo and group exhibitions, including Souvenirs, Bagged and Drinks, all while still connected to the advertising business. A few years ago, Seidman, and long-time business partner and wife, Mary Ann Kurasz, relocated to Palm Beach Gardens where he built a studio to focus on his fine art work. He also maintains a studio presence in New York where he continues to shoot for advertising clients. Seidman's recent fine art exhibitions in Florida include his series, titled Bagged, at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in Delray Beach. Bloomers - a new series of monumental photographs on canvas at Palm Beach Gardens City Hall. Seidman's Beached series was shown at Meyerhoefer Gallery in Lake Worth and Bloomers was presented at EXOR Galleries in Boca Raton. Aperture Art, including three of Seidman's shows, was presented at RosettaStone Fine Art Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens. Souvenirs, Bagged and Bloomers was exhibited at Dharma Studio Contemporary Art in Miami's Coconut Grove. Seidman recently completed three new series: Art-chi-textures, Hot Peppers and Smoke, which will be introduced next season.
